NEXIM Bank Participates In 6th ANDFI Annual General Assembly
The Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) Bank actively participated in the 6th Annual General Assembly of the Association of Nigerian Development Finance Institutions (ANDFI), held at Fraser Suites, Abuja, under the theme, “Unlocking Domestic Capital for Development Financing.”
The conference brought together key stakeholders across Nigeria’s development finance ecosystem to deliberate on strategies for mobilising domestic capital, strengthening access to finance, and driving sustainable economic development.
Leading NEXIM Bank’s delegation was the Executive Director, Business Development, Hon. Stella Okotete, alongside other members of the bank's top management. The delegation engaged with representatives of federal and state-owned development finance institutions, industry stakeholders, and policymakers on opportunities to strengthen Nigeria’s development finance architecture.
Delivering her goodwill message at the event, Hon. Okotete reaffirmed NEXIM Bank’s commitment to supporting sustainable economic growth through increased access to finance for Nigerian businesses and initiatives aimed at unlocking domestic capital for national development.

She emphasised the importance of collaboration among development finance institutions in addressing financing gaps, supporting businesses, and creating an enabling environment for increased private sector participation in Nigeria’s economic development.
Notable attendees included the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele; the Managing Director of the Bank of Industry, Dr. Olasupo Olusi; the Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Dr. Charles Odii; and other leaders in the development finance ecosystem.
Discussions during the forum focused on critical issues affecting development financing, with panel sessions where industry experts shared their perspectives on capital market dynamics and access to finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as well as financing gaps and systemic reforms required to support private enterprise growth.
The engagements further reinforced the need for stronger collaboration among development finance institutions, government agencies, and private sector stakeholders to mobilise domestic capital, bridge financing gaps, and create sustainable pathways for inclusive economic growth.
